This pit was hand built in mid-2006 as an all-in-one competition cooker. It has won many cooking awards as well as taken “Best Pit” at most cook-offs that have this entry. It is a very unique, one of a kind, pit that is sure to get everyone’s attention! It is very easy to operate for the novice and can easily hang with the pros at a competition. The theme of this pit was meant to mimic some of the latest designs that the motorcycle fabricators were putting out. It is finished out with steel and stainless steel rivets as well as webbing and other custom items. (The black widow mounted on the side can easily be removed and replaced with a logo if desired). A lot of research, time and money went into the finished product of this pit and it will make someone a great investment for many, many years!

Features include:
• Firebox – double walled and insulated utilizing 3/8” thick carbon steel liner and Ό“ thick carbon steel outer skin with 2300 degree ceramic fiber insulation sandwiched between. The box will get hot to the touch and is great for warming tortillas on the to9p, but won’t get hot enough to burn the paint off. This keeps it looking great! It also has a ½” thick carbon steel door with a large air intake valve, a wood grate and a quick-connect propane torch for starting a fire with ease.
• Main Grilling Chamber – 30” diameter octagon design utilizing Ό” thick carbon steel plate. The length is 6’9” long and has 4 reinforced slide out racks for easy access. This rig will hold a lot of food! It also has heavy removable and adjustable tuning plates, 2” brass ball valve for cleanout, Tel-Tru temperature gauges, fully flanged and counterweighted doors.
• Vertical Chamber – 30” diameter octagon design utilizing Ό“ thick carbon steel plate. This chamber was designed as a warmer to hold meats at a safe temperature. It generally runs in the 150 degree range which is perfect for holding foods for long periods of time without refrigeration. There are 4 reinforced slide out racks for easy access. Other features include Tel-Tru temperature gauge, fully flanged door, low pressure propane burner for either raising the temperature to cooking levels or for running without the firebox going, and two large smokestacks with drop-down controls.
• Slide-Out Grill – 22” diameter octagon design utilizing 3/16” thick carbon steel plate. I personally used this as my competition chicken cooker and rib finisher and had a lot of success with this setup. It features a very heavy duty grilling surface as well as a full length charcoal/wood rack. There are air inlets on both ends of this pit and the stack in the middle which makes it very easy to convert this to a small smoker for a smaller scale meal. Other features include a hinged door for easy cleanout, Tel-Tru temperature gauge, fully flanged door.
• Stove – 2 burner stove built into the rear of the trailer. Features high pressure fish fryer style burners, custom pot grates, brass ball valve controls.
• Storage – large enclosed wood box on the rear of the trailer which will hold enough wood for a two day cook-off. In front of that there is a large truck took box that houses a 25 gallon supply water tank. There is enough room in the truck box for pots and pans. In front of that box is a 2 ft. square storage box that is the perfect size chuckbox for spices. Under the sink is enough room for folding chairs and other small items and in the center of the trailer is a place to hold two 6 ft. folding tables.
• Sink – a built in sink on the nose comes in real handy! It has a 25 gallon supply tank housed in the truck tool box on the back side of the trailer and a 25 gallon waste water tank in the cabined under the sink. A 12 volt pump runs the sink and a 12 volt deep cycle battery is housed in a case in the sink cabinet.
• Other Features – spare tire on the nose of the trailer, large black widow mascot, Maltese cross logo, trailer painted with an industrial grade grey paint and the rest of the pit is painted with high heat black, old school fenders with skirts are easily removable for tire repair, LED tail lights with custom housings, air-cooled handles on all grilling components.
