Up for sale is a Bates Pit with the following specs:
-Main Chamber is 8' X 36" with three pull out racks in each door (1/4" rolled plate), High polish stainless steel smoke stacks that swivel to adjust for wind. Pit has been professionally tuned and has a large brass ball valve for grease trap.
-Firebox is 30" square and double insulated on five sides with gas assist
-Hanging off fire box is two burners for boiling or frying.
-Next to Main chamber is a gas grill for cooking fajitas or sausage.
-Very front table is 1" Starboard that shows very little wear. I usually don't cut directly on it.
-Stainless steel sink with under cabinet storage (this is the location of the on-demand pump) cabinet is lockable.
Wood storage-enough to hold a weekends worth of wood
-50 gallons of fresh water
-50 gallons of gray water storage (approved gray water container)
-Two 30# propane tanks that can be run separate or together.
-Pit doors are balanced perfectly and can be lifted with one finger.
-4 Ashcroft 5" swivel head guages
Trailer
custom built using square tubing from the ground up with tandem 4500# axles. Hitch and landing gear are Bulldog components
Electric brakes on one axle
heavier side has 7500# springs
front of trailer has two slide outs that can take an attachment (I have seat attachments)
I have debated selling for a while, I am really not doing cook-offs too much anymore, but I am doing more charity events. I think I am going to change it up a bit.
This is not a distress sale and I do not have to sell for any financial reasons.
Shows about 90-95% A couple hours of cleanup and it would look like the day I picked it up. It is still being used, so it is not fully cleaned up at the moment. I have done cook-offs and plenty of charity events with it and cooked for as many as 600 with no problems. There is no rust except a couple small areas on the firebox door which would be redone for new buyer.
I will consider delivery depending on price and location. Thanks for Looking
Also would consider a trade for Southern Pride, Old Hickory or Fast Eddy.
