Thumbs up Hello, from Central Alabama

Just joined the forum. I really like it after reading awhile. Several others I participate in. Got a Weber Smokey Mountain about 3 months ago. Never knew what "real barbque" was before. I've done about 8 cooks on the WSM and really like it. Everything was awesome except the brisket i tried.
I think i need a lot of practice on this one. Mine tasted like unflavored, dry beef roast. Probably a lot of posts here on briskets, i'll just have to keep trying. Looks so good when you Texas guys cook it. Ordered some Texas Barbq Rub yesterday. I have some good rub recipes, but thought i'd give this one a try after reading the testimonials.
Looking forward to being a part of this forum.

Welcome Ala Q'r glad ya found us. Just use Bill's rub and his directions on doing that brisket and you'll be pleased.
Tip: You can stuff some of his rub in your pillow for sweet dreams.... you'll see what I mean...

Welcome! I'm over in North East AL, I've heard of Prattville but not sure where it is will have to look it up.

I'm sure you will get that brisket figured out I've used this rub many times, but others also with great results. I am a little partial to the TxRub
