I'm sorry to hear that bbqmom but I suspect that its gonna be happening more and more as this thing progresses.
My wife is terrified and doesn't want to take the kiddos anywhere because the the swine flu. We just had our first case hit Houston and 23 month old from Mexico died at a local hospital so no telling how many people came in contact with that child . Good luck to y'all over there.

They have shut down the schools for the balance of the week in Cleburne and who knows what else will be affected.

Cleburne has reschedule for June 19/20 so they are actively working around it.

I was going to say something about that, but you beat me to the punch. It does put things in perspective and people should be aware of it. The term Pandemic seems to scare the "crud" (I'm behaving Mod's ) out of people. It shouldn't. It means an "infectious disease that spreads through populations across a large region; for instance a continent, or even worldwide". It actually has nothing to do with how many people get sick. One person in each of a hand full of countries constitues a pandemic. The news media will not repeatedly tell people that because it doesn't help ratings.

And yes, I got pneumonia that developed from the "common flu". It doesn't take a non-Asian flu to do it.
